Wild Fowl Bay Port is located in western Huron County on the southeast side of Saginaw Bay, which is an arm of Lake Huron. The neighborhood is located in Fairhaven Township, with a tiny portion stretching east into McKinley Township.
It is well-known for its 13,000-acre Wildfowl Bay State Game Area, which is located between Bay Port and Sebewaing. To the south, the area includes Heistermans Island, Middle Ground Island, Maisau Island, Defous Island, Lone Tree Island, and Pitcher Reef Island.
